Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.
At the same time, a minor was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to area administrators.
Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.
"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying penalties," was stated in a public message.
Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.
Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.
A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.
Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
Area administrators said the urban area experienced intense attacks overnight. A minor died and three other people were wounded.
The attacks follow periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.
Government officials told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.
Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for more assaults.
